Seattle Seahawks’ John Schneider Ranks First Among NFL GM’s

John Schneider

John Schneider has earned the title of “Greatest GM in the NFL,” at least from one publication.

It would be hard to find another front office employee on any NFL team that has had as remarkable run as Schneider since joining the Seattle Seahawks in 2010.

Since missing the playoffs in their first year together, Pete Carroll and John Schneider have transformed the team, moving them into the elite class of the league.

Seattle Seahawks Defense Has Challenge Against Washington Redskins

Seahawks vs. Redskins: Don’t Underestimate Kirk Cousins

The Seattle Seahawks (2-1) are coming off of their Week 4 Bye and are heading to Washington D.C. to take on the Redskins (1-3) on Monday Night Football. Possibly the only positive to having a week off this early in the season is that we don’t have to worry about Seahawks withdrawals during the regular season anymore.

Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins awaits the Seahawks after having the worst statistical game of his young career vs the Giants. Cousins will now be facing one of the toughest NFL defenses in decades as the defending Super Bowl champions got back on track against a Hall of Fame quarterback in Peyton Manning in Week 3.

With the loss of Robert Griffin III, Cousins performed pretty well in his two starts, topping out with 400+ yards passing and 3 TD’s in a loss to the Eagles. The story against the Giants was a bit less ceremonious. 4 INT’s and a QBR of 13.9 makes one wonder what he’ll do against Seattle’s Legion of Boom.

Statistically the Redskins rank in the top half of each major category:

The Seahawks have a history of traveling to the Capitol for nationally televised games and leaving victorious. The last being a playoff victory in a Wild Card round in which RG3 left with an injury. The Seahawks must game plan for both Cousins, who is no scrub and running back Alfred Morris. Morris presents a challenge as well as he’s averaging a very respectable 4.5 ypc and 3 TD’s.

In a turn of events from last year, the Seahawks are actually better against the run than they are the pass after three games.

Philip Rivers and the Chargers proved that no game is a guaranteed win for the Seahawks. Cousins is more than capable of pulling off an upset at home against a struggling secondary that needs to find their groove.

How do you think the game will go?

Then sit back and enjoy the ride while Mike Rob takes you through the heart of Seattle and captures the true winners this year…. the fans.

Many of us thought that we would never see another episode of the Real Rob Report. After Michael Robinson went out on top with a Super Bowl championship in his last year in the NFL, the in locker room show would undoubtedly come to a stop.

Although that may be the case – a new episode has been uploaded to the RRR channel and it may be the best one yet.

The 37-minute long video shows the events after the franchises first ever championship, the greatest moment in team history.

Aqib Talib Fined for Elbow Drop Against Seahawks

Talib elbow against Seahawks

Denver Broncos corner Aqib Talib has been fined for dropping an elbow that looked like it belonged more in the WWE than an NFL game last Sunday at CenturyLink Field.

The Bronco defenders paycheck will be $8,268 lower now.

Fortunately the elbow didn’t cause an injury and the Seahawks did go on to win the game in overtime thanks to a Russell Wilson 80-yard drive on the first possession. The win put the Seahawks back on track after a week 2 loss to the Sand Diego Chargers.

Week 4 is the Seahawks bye week and the team will next travel to Washington DC to take on the Redskins on Monday Night Football.

Destruction Follows Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch, Stats Unaffected

Marshawn Lynch

Seahawks Pro Bowl running back Marshawn Lynch not only punishes defenders that try to tackle the powerful runner, but also tends to leave a trail of destruction of those that often find the task to be too difficult.

Lynch’s role with the Seahawks was in question at the start of the season when it was rumored that the defending Super Bowl champions would be moving to a running back by committee. So far, that hasn’t been the case with Lynch carrying the ball on nearly 60% of running plays.

His stats haven’t taken a hit either. With 234 rushing yards, Marshawn Lynch is ranked 6th in the NFL among all running backs. He’s averaging 4.5 yards per carry and his three rushing TD’s are tied for best in the league.

The Seahawks are currently on their Bye Week and will be traveling to face the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football on October 6th.

The Seattle Seahawks began their title defense with an exclamation mark victory against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football.

Although the game was fairly close the entire first half, the Seahawks pulled away in the second half and left no doubt that the Seahawks are just as good, if not better than last year.

Seahawks tight end Zach Miller had possibly the greatest highlight of the game with his amazing one-handed catch on a Russell Wilson pass that was what appeared to be just out of reach.
