The big unveiling of the hyped Nike NFL uniforms was earlier today. Nike and the NFL chose to emphasize the Seahawks, and rightfully so, since they were the only team to really give Nike power to implement their unique touch to the design of not only the material, but also the colors and look. Kam Chancellor, the Seahawks young star safety was the first player to come out on stage in New York.
No one can really argue that the Seahawks new uniforms are going for a futuristic feel. The helmet has a “feathering” stripe down the center, along with more feathering paying tribute to the 12th Man on both the uniform jersey and pants. The entire uniform looks unlike anything else that is currently in the NFL.
Before and after the event, current NFL players took to twitter raving about the Seahawks new uniforms. It looks like the new duds will be yet another recruiting tool that John Schneider and Pete Carroll can use to lure future Seahawks.
