Things are slow now with team specific news. The combine will begin soon but as far as direct Seahawks news is concerned it’s going to remain slow leading up to the draft.

One minor move that was made was the signing of cornerback and kick returner Will Blackmon. Blackmon was drafted by the Packers in the 2006 draft while John Schneider was working in their front office. After being released due to injury reasons, Blackmon was signed by the New York Giants who also later released him because of leg injuries – specifically knee and ankle injuries.

After his release by the Giants in 2011 Blackmon played 2012 with the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League.

I’ve been a huge fan of the Seahawks and Mariners since childhood. Raised in downtown Seattle just minutes from the sports heaven that was the Kingdome. I remember seeing the dust spread over the city from my apartment window when they blew it up. I swear a single tear rolled down my face as I watched. The day either team wins it all will be the day I can die a happy man. Go Hawks!
