Enjoy the ride 12th Man

For those of you that have followed my articles this year it’s easy to know at least one thing about me…I love stats. I love to find hidden little stuff here and there about playing worse at home (Matt Ryan), and statistically the most DangeRuss QB to play since game eight of the season.

For this upcoming game against the Falcons I have searched all week for random stats and have about five pages worth, but as I sat down last night to write this…I just couldn’t do it. All week the 12th man has been bombarded by stats and predictions of why the Hawks will or won’t win. I just felt I wanted to write something different. I want us all to take this weekend and ENJOY it!! It doesn’t happen very often around here and I don’t want any of you to miss it. The building anticipation and the fact that we will listen or watch 27 different people spout the same information just because we may be in a different frame of mind than we were 30 minutes ago and might snag a nugget that we didn’t before.

Everywhere I go I see church reader boards that proclaim that they are changing service times so Jesus can cheer on the Hawks, or the WSDOT that tweeted: WSDOT Traffic ‏@wsdot_traffic
SB I-405 just north of I-90, disabled blocking – Just like the Falcons this weekend #gohawks, the thousands of fans lining the roads and overpasses tossing skittles at the bus and cheering all the way to Sea-Tac or the air traffic controller that sent the Seahawks off with a “Go Hawks”.

If you are lucky enough to be in Washington State now, it’s awesome! I wore my jersey for “Blue Friday” yesterday and the standard greeting was “Go Hawks!” from every-and I mean-EVERYONE!

So revel in this, 12th man. You’ve earned it and don’t fret, I’ll have lots more stats for the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.
