Will Matt Flynn be under center against the Cardinals week 1?
The QB competition has been everything we thought it would be, and more.
From the day Matt Flynn joined the Seattle Seahawks we knew he and Tarvaris Jackson would be thrust into a competition to see who is better suited to lead the Seahawks in 2012. Jackson has a decent 2011 season and won many fans over. Charlie Whitehurst suporters saw themselves slowly migrating to the Jackson camp after Whitehurst performed poorly.
Now that the Matt Flynn hype machine has landed in Seattle, Jackson will have to hold off another competitor many think is already #1 on the Seahawks’ depth chart. T Jax has taken the majority of the snaps with the first team but you don’t pay a QB the money the Seahawks are giving Flynn to ride the pine. Especially with your “starter” in the last year of his contract.
Russell Wilson has made a compelling argument to at least be mentioned with the other two, more experienced signal callers. The Seahawks look like they may have quite the talent dwelling in the wings should T Jax and Flynn allow for an opportunity to see the field.
So… Who do you think the Seahawks start week 1 at Arizona against the division rival Cardinals?
