So, it looks as if the Pac-12 is getting muckier as we speak.
Arizona beat Colorado, bringing three* 8-4 teams (assuming Oregon doesn’t blow a 20 point lead in 15 min, but anything is possible).
Like I said, OREGON is drubbing the Huskies in Eugene, bringing the leaders back to 9-3, and only a game ahead of the three previously mentioned teams.
As for the middle to bottom of the Pac, Wazzu beat the Beavers(!), Cal smacked USC around, ASU snuck by the Runnin’ Utes, and Stanford and UCLA are in a tight one, which looks like the game of the night in the conference.
Next weekend will be a giant one for the conference as a whole, as the race will become tight and exciting, in what could be the best weekend for the conference, with Cal hosting Oregon Thursday and the Wildcats visiting the Huskies on Saturday. Oregon suddenly became the “best” team in the country overnight while the Wildcats are red hot, coming off a Bay Area sweep and a quality win over Colorado, eager and hungry, in a game in Seattle (where recent memories aren’t pretty: see a 71-60 loss to Gonzaga, where they were down 14-0 in 5 minutes).
