Kasey Keller to Stay With Sounders FC

After months of speculation, Kasey Keller has found a place within the Sounders organization. Keller appears to be in the final stages of talks to become the color commentator for the Sounders broadcast team. He will be working with Arlo Whites replacement and will be helping call all 22 games that will be aired on KONG/KING. And a additional bonus to anyone that tunes into the game on 97.3 FM, they will be able to listen to Keller’s colorful commentary for all 34 MLS matches this season.

While some were scared that he might not find a place with the Sounders after he recently auditioned for a job at ESPN after appearing as a guest analyst on FSC. Some Sounder fans on the Sounders forum have some reservation about Keller being hired with no previous experience. But for this Keller fan, I welcome his soccer knowledge and experience to the talented Sounders broadcast team.

I’ve been a huge fan of the Seahawks and Mariners since childhood. Raised in downtown Seattle just minutes from the sports heaven that was the Kingdome. I remember seeing the dust spread over the city from my apartment window when they blew it up. I swear a single tear rolled down my face as I watched. The day either team wins it all will be the day I can die a happy man. Go Hawks!
