Seattle Sounders FC forward David Estrada underwent surgery on Thursday to repair a broken metatarsal in his left foot. The surgery was succesfull and Estrada was placed on the DL, requiring him to miss at least six MLS matches before he is eligible to return.
During the 17 competitive matches that Estrada has taken part in, he scored six goals including a hat trick in the seasons first match.
While at UCLA, Estrada sustained a similar injury his sophomore year.
Estrada can return for the July 15th match in New York.
